The following is a brief overview of our privacy policy and unless otherwise stated addresses the information collected from you via online only. PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY OFTEN. Its terms often change, according to changes in industry practice and law.

Any question concerning this Privacy Policy can be addressed by completing the questions or comments section located on our contact page.

1. Overview:
When you open an account on this Website, IRIS asks for personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, and physical address. If you subscribe through a credit card, the account data or other payment method data necessary to process your subscription payments and verify your assent to the purchase will be collected. From time to time, IRIS may make it possible for you to provide other information about yourself on an optional basis. If you choose to provide this information, you are giving IRIS permission to use and store it consistent with this Privacy Policy. Therefore, when you sign into your account, you are not anonymous to us.

In addition, IRIS automatically collects information about your interactions with the Website and IRIS Properties. For example, IRIS automatically collects information about your interactions with video content. In addition, IRIS automatically receives and records information from your computer and browser, including your IP address, software and hardware attributes, the page you request, and cookie information, as discussed below in the section titled “What are cookies, and how are they and other technologies used to collect information?” section.

We also may collect information about you from other sources, including through commercially available sources, such as data aggregators, public databases and business partners. This information may include your interests, purchasing behavior and your activities online, such as websites visited and advertisements viewed. We may combine all of the information we collect about you and use it in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.

What are cookies, and how are they and other technologies used to collect information?
Cookies are small bits of information that are stored in separate files within your computer’s Internet browser. Cookies remember information about your activities on a website or other platform. For example, cookies can store your session for easy sign-in to a website or other platform you have previously visited. Cookies allow IRIS to make your visits to this Website and IRIS Properties more enjoyable.

With whom does IRIS share the information?
The information collected on this Website is currently collected for the exclusive use of IRIS and its employees for business purposes only and shared with third parties for the day to day operation of the website. Third-party applications are listed below. There may also be instances when IRIS may disclose personally identifiable information without providing you with a choice: in order to protect its legal rights, or those of its affiliates, investors, directors, officers, employees, agents, and suppliers; to protect the safety and security of our other users or to enforce our Terms of Use; to protect against fraud or for risk management purposes; or to comply with or respond to the law or legal process or a request for cooperation by a government entity, whether or not legally required.

Can you make choices about information sharing?
IRIS respects your privacy so much that we use a double opt-in feature for most mailing lists. Double opt-in is a method of adding a new subscriber to our mailing list after a confirmation e-mail is sent to verify it was really them. You will only receive email regarding upcoming products, current promotions, and new programs to this Website if you have “double opted-in” to our email list. Included with each of these communications is the option to “opt out” of any future emails. After completing either of the following, you will not receive further contact from IRIS unless you purchase a new product, join our mailing list, send us a comment, or we need to notify you of major changes to the website or terms of service.

Who else is involved with processing information on the Website and other IRIS communications?
IRIS Properties may be linked to or provided through internet websites or other software and vendor platforms operated by third parties. Some of them may be co-branded with our name, designs, products, logos and other identifying features, even though they are not operated or maintained by us. IRIS is not responsible for the privacy practices of the websites or other platforms operated by third parties. Once you have left the Website through a link, or if you are using a platform by a third-party vendor, you should check the privacy policy of those suppliers.

For example, to ensure data integrity, all of IRIS website and IRIS Properties’ transactions are handled using third-party vendors and applications from which some of which you are able to opt out; they include: ClickTale, http://www.clicktale.com (used to record user mouse movements and other eye-tracking type usability data); DISQUS, www.disqus.com (provides tools to connect conversations and comments); Google Analytics, http://analytics.google.com (tracks analytics such as visitors and conversions); Wufoo, http://www.wufoo.com (used to build forms for the Website); Javascript Libraries Jquery, www.jquery.com (used for making fancy tabs, accordions, pop-ups, and other animated type javascript); Prototype, http://www.prototypejs.org/ (one of the main frameworks used for IRIS Properties); EXTJs, http://www.sencha.com/ (used extensively on IRIS’ “PMT” ™ for tables and other tools); Dojo, http://dojotoolkit.org/ (the other big framework IRIS uses for this Website); Recurly,www.recurly.com (used for subscription billing); Salesforce, www.salesforce.com (used on the Website for support and FAQ); MailChimp, www.mailchimp.com (used to manage IRIS’ email list)—for more information about these applications and their respective privacy policies, go to the relevant vendor websites. IRIS also purchases mailing lists from third-party vendors for the purpose of sending catalogs. IRIS is happy to remove you from any mailing list generated from our customer records, but please be aware that we may not be able to remove your name from lists that we purchase from outside vendors.

What does IRIS do with non-personal information and aggregate data?
Aggregate data is information that we collect on an individualized basis but subsequently use in the aggregate form (combining your and others information together so that no individual is identifiable); by definition, this is “non-personal” information. Non-personal information cannot be tied to you in any way, and therefore, there are no restrictions on the ways that IRIS can use or share non-personal information. IRIS is always looking for ways to better serve you and improve this website. IRIS will use non-personal information from you to help us make this website more useful to visitors, as well as for other business purposes. Perform research and analysis; administer the network system; create reports for internal use to develop programs, products, services or content; customize the information or services that are of interest to you; and/or provide aggregated “traffic statistics” and “response rates” to third parties.
